Thank you to all those who attended the Africa Exchange South Africa Country Focus Seminar on the 27th March 2014. A reminder of some key points from the discussions:
- Lullu Krugel, KPMG Senior Economist provided expert insights on the state of the South African economy, which sparked some interesting debates and discussions.
- The Director of West Africa Economic Relations at the Department of Trade and Industry, Thamsanqa Ngwenya, reflected on the DTI’s Africa strategy, as well as the bi-lateral instruments used by the DTI to create an enabling environment for both inwards and outwards investments.
- Trevor Govender, Senior Business Development Manager at Murray & Roberts provided some key learnings from his company’s expansion into the rest of Africa, and gave some valuable lessons from specific case studies.
