About Jeffery Shaw

Jeff is based in South Africa and specialises in risk management and advisory services on major programmes and capital projects in the infrastructure, mining, public sector and oil and gas sectors. He is a registered Professional Engineer with 25 years post qualification experience in the design, construction and project management of major capital projects and in the management of major public sector programmes. Jeff is part of the global KPMG Major Projects Advisory (MPA) steering group and has been part of the team responsible for developing the MPA solution. He has advised public and private sector clients both in South Africa and internationally on major capital projects. These have included projects in the water and sanitation sector, electricity generation and distribution sector, construction sector, industrial developments, mining and oil and gas sectors and have included both greenfields and brownfields projects. Private sector clients have included Sasol, Eskom, Anglo America PLC, Murray & Roberts, Exxaro, Kumba Iron Ore and Gautrain. Jeff has had extensive experience on a number of major public sector programmes including the first South African Democratic Elections, major public sector transformation programmes, the Nigerian elections, and the South African Water and Sanitation Programme.
